A Mustard Seed Community Market Place: Regular Season (bi-monthly) - Wednesday, 4 pm to 7 pm, *Friday, 4 pm to 8 pm and Saturday, 9 am to noon. Market Days will be announced soon. Now taking vendor applications.
Market Place days will be held during the first and third weeks of the month. Friday market days are on the first Friday of the month. Market Place days or frequency may be increased based on community demand/needs and capabilities.
Farmers' Market Preparation Training:
Online produce safety trainings (listed below and available at https://www.ksre.k-state.edu/foodsafety/produce/guidance/index.html#farmers-markets . Become market ready and eligible by viewing "Food Safety at Farmers Markets" , "Introduction to Produce Safety" and "Missouri Produce Safety". These videos are free of cost and satisfies Market Place Produce Safety requirements.
There are three ways to fulfill produce safety requirements: 1) Attendance and completion of FSMA training. 2) Attendance and completion GAP training. 3) Viewing and completing the market place view list from K-State and MU Extension.
Introduction to Produce Safety
This free training online will cover the basic principles of produce safety and post-harvest handling. Registration required https://extension.missouri.edu/programs/food-safety
Producers selling local foods can learn about best practices, state regulations and available resources at a four-part online series in March presented by University of Missouri Extension.
Cost is $15 per session or $40 for all four sessions. All sessions will be recorded and available for a period of time after the event.

Missouri EATs brings community members together to find better ways for local farmers to connect with local buyers and address needs and opportunities related to hunger, health and access to food. Partners with the University of Missouri Extension (MU Extension) program include the Pulaski County Health Center, A Mustard Seed Community Development Corporation, Naturally Meramec, and the
Dixon Elementary School. Though the focus is on the Dixon community, everyone in Pulaski and Maries counties are welcome to participate. Registration is required, but there is no cost to participating. Meetings will be online through the easy-to-use Zoom video-conferencing platform. Participants will receive the link and a step-by-step user guide when they register.
